GAME THREE PREVIEW
The Queensland Maroons took game one in a tight contest, the New South Wales Blues ran away with game two convincingly which sets up a winner-take-all decider for game three.
A broadcaster and Rugby League executive’s wet dream.
Game three is being held in stadium Australia and the Blues are heavy favourites. In my opinion New South Wales is primed to complete the series victory and make it two series on the run, and most importantly go on a short dominant run which means everything in one of the fiercest rivalries in the sporting world. Stringing together three or four series victories in a row can shape how we remember a whole decade Origins.
Brad Fitler has made some great selections, some head scratchers but has mostly pulled the right selection levers, what I’m most concerned about is Fitler’s bench rotations, getting the right minutes rotation and at the right times. The coaching and strategy battle will be of significant interest to me in game three.
It is extremely hard to ‘Live Blog’ on the website platform I use, so I’ll do my best, I’ll be utilising the chat box below a lot and updates below that, so come in to say hello.
New South Wales somehow manage to swing two Origin series victories on the trot, a redemption of sorts for Mitchell Pearce, New South Wales tried their hardest to choke it away but ultimately came away with the win in the 79th minute.
You simply cannot discount a Queensland Origin team.
